Hypnotherapy gets TV doctor’s approval.
admin | November 5, 2008As a professional hypnotherapist based near Gloucester, it’s very encouraging to see how often hypnotherapy is being promoted by doctors and others in the medical profession these days.
Just last week yet another TV documentary showed a doctor suggesting to two patients that they try hypnotherapy to help overcome their conditions related to stress, anxiety and depression. What’s more, the programme showed part of the hypnotherapy sessions taking place and both patients subsequently reporting what a huge difference this treatment had made to them.
Literally millions of people in this country currently seek help from their GPs for help with stress, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders and the inability to relax. Often they are given anti-depressants or other medications, which actually don’t solve the root cause of the problems and can have other side effects. Thankfully more and more doctors are beginning to accept just how effective hypnotherapy can be in helping people to overcome these conditions and not have to rely on pills. Plus, of course, it’s safe, non-intrusive and scientifically verified.
